My opinion of Basquiat is that he was creative for those times. I'm proud of the fact that he was Haitian and Puertorrican and was brave for doing all of his works. He was popular because he criticized the authorities and he spoke the truth about the problems of his times. I don't understand the quote mentioned in the assignment. The themes of Basquiat's paintings are heritage, visual poetry, heroes, justice, equality and cultural identity.

Basquiat due to its popularity to its way to criticize the society. In spite of the fact that the graffiti is considered vandalism, the carries out it to create coincidence to the people. The work of Basquiat is special for us because is son of a Puerto Rican mother and is a pride for our country, in spite of the fact that itself is not known a lot of him.
Even though Basquiat did vandalize property and a car, he was still remembered as a great artist because he’ s original work represented a social class that was left behind very often , the social class in which minorities and poor people fit into. What I think is special about his work is that it represented that social class, but it was recognize by all kinds of people. One of the quotes presented on the video; “The Whole Livery Line Bow Like This With The Big Money All Crushed Into These Feet" , my interpretation of the phrase is that it represents Basquiat’s vision of the inequality that exists in the society in which the working class are the ones that have to sacrifice all they got , while the big corporations and wealthy people keep controlling them, making themselves wealthier while the working class can’t improve their economical conditions. The themes on Basquiat work were mainly about his heritage, social inequality, it can also be seen that his work also represents him, his personal , feelings and thoughts, and the vision that he had about the world that surround him. The themes present in Banskys works are very similar form that ones in Basquiat works, they both presented issues that affect mankind.
1)Basquiat become so popular because of his way of express his feelings through paintings; he was accustom to use abstract drawings and different messages; kind of poetic to demonstrate how he was feeling through out all the discrimination because of his color, his social status etc. I suppose that is why he wrote those messages on his paintings. That is why he was so special in his work.
2) "The Whole Livery Line Bow Like This With The Big Money All Crushed Into These Feet"
I think that he was trying to tell about the suffering of the black people when they were slaves, because; because of them some people have enough money.
3) I think Basquiat’s message on his paintings are the equality, learn how to think in the things around us, how not to discriminate and to open our minds in different stuff.
In contrast Banksy is more hilarious and different. I think his message is for that people who occult their real life like the painting of the men hiding in the window of the husband.
For me the art of Basquiat is not really good but the message of his painting or graffiti was a nice way to criticize the society. For me is not acceptable vandalize any thing because you can bring the message in other way and I don’t like found my car vandalized by somebody. My interpretation of his mural is a few things that Basquiat have in his mind about the interest of some persons who he knows. He expresses your feelings and sentiment in a wall with his paint.
For me Basquiat is since a great artist its graffiti they show what happens around to our. Their work is very special since the message that exposes in its graffiti has a perspective and different ideas. Each graffiti has an only purpose that is the awakening the sense conscience the society. In their graffiti Basquiat presents its opinion like person and it shows its restlessness when developing its work. Their work is very artistic and special since expressed and it exposes its ideas to the world that surrounds us. As for this sentence "The Whole Livery Line Bow Like This With The Big Money All Crushed Into These Feet", Basquiat wants to show us like it is the reality the big corporations and as these they exploit people scarce resources giving him many hours, tasks and little pay with the purpose to only obtain benefits for them. In other words these people they are the new slaves this generation.
Basquiat was so popular because his graffiti was very simple. His arts dwealt with social matters and music. What made him special was that what he painted called everyone's attention. Some of the themes that he explores in his graffiti are justice and equality, music, and class differences. In the work of Basksy he explores social problems. My interpretation of " could possibly be a criticism of capitalism. The "line" he is referring to could be a line of people following a powerful entity which might represent money. "The bigmoney all crushed into these feet" could be the way in which the powerful people crushe the rest of the society.
Basquiat, was a famous artist, because his painting are different with others. His perspective of view the art is very realist with the real life. Demonstrated preoccupation with the society, because criticism.
My interpretation about the whole livery line this bow like this with the big money all crushed in to these feet. The most power to have the people with money. The pour people doesn’t mater. Without money, you are nothing.
The messages on the paintings of Basquiat were abstract, because they need imagination for interpreting . But Bankys is most easy for interpreting . But Bankys’s art is easy to understand . Both present problem in the society.
I think that the art is a talent that some people have, and these people expressed in different ways. Basquiat have this talent and his way to express it was very original and different from others. I am not agreeing in the way that he draws in the video, because he doesn’t have the authority to vandalizing property and cars that don’t belong to him. But that doesn’t take away from him that he is a good artist, thought according to the law the way that he painted was incorrect. And this differentiates his work from the others, this special and original touch of presenting the social problems of his time.
My interpretation of the message that he painted on the wall is maybe he wants to show his economical problems in that few words. In one moment of his life he becomes rich and famous but his drug problems affect his life. So in my opinion he explains how that life with money was ending in front of him.
Basquiat was so popular by his creativity, his form of seen reality and how he expressed it in his paintings or graffiti. Also by his attacks to the society using a unique way and special form that caused much impression and interest to many people. I think the special about his works was that he became sort of a cultural hero to young people that admired his work.
My interpretation about Basquiat's quote "The Whole Livery Line Bow Like This With
The Big Money All Crushed Into These Feet" is that by not having money at all, by not having a place of his own, without anything at all, being poor at the streets, people from high society had been attracted to his so called talent and bow to his feet to give money for his art.
Some themes about Basquiat's paintings were justice & equality, heroes, visual poetry, heritage, artistic process and cultural identity.
Basquiat express his feel towards inequality between rich and poor, because I could read about her life, he confront the two situation. Basquiat live under a good social position (he had all)and live in the streets. Where he confront difficult situations for to get something.
I think that the messages that Basquiat express in the graffiti from video, have a relation with the exploitation of person more needy. This person have to "bow" to be "crushed" by "the money". Also I think that he express in the graffiti, one feeling of anger towards his parent, because they had a good social position, but they get divorce. Basquiat was filling of rebelliousness that was negative, because what led to the death, but to take "hit" and fame was positive.
In my opinion Basquiat was so popular because your graffiti had great poetical and philosophical load. The "alter ego" of Basquiat was very decisive in your work, since they were signing his graffiti. Basquiat in your message explain the difference of class. Many people have a big money and he fights with the life for have a little money. In conclusion the message of Basquiat in the graffiti express yours feelings in a way that he feels it.
Basquiat try to send us a message about inequality and racism. The way that he shows us his message is through graffities, while others draw something “better”, he writes some criticizes about the government and companies that marginalize because they are poor. These graffities became famous because he was the voice of the “getto”. Basquiat draw a very special graffiti that said: “The Whole Livery Line Bow Like This With The Big Money All Crushed Into These Feet”. Maybe it means that the money move this world. Those doesn’t have money are only a pawn. Also, the government and companies take care of the low class people because it only want theirs incomes.
For me this artist continues being remembered for being a young man that in spite of the problems that he had in his life he kept going forward. Also for being a very creative and realistic artist who was using the graffiti to express the reality of life. I believe that what made him so popular was that his paintings were expressing his way of thinking in life and the world that was surrounding him. The special of his work was that he draws in many different forms where he was exposing different topics in forms of critiques or jeers using poetry sometimes.
In the phrase “The whole livery bow like this with the big Money all crushed into these feet” I understand that he does a critique to the social classes where one sees to the wealthy as oppressive social class of the low-ranking classes. In his paintings we can see the topics and messages on: the heredity, justice, cultural identity and his lived experiences. Banksy uses political and critical messages in his art works.
I think that Basquiat is a creative, original and innovative man inspite that he has vandalized some walls and cars. And in my opinion, that is what people saw on his, an artist and not a vandal. In his graffiti, he used to combine writing with drawing. One of his phrases was: “The whole livery line bow like this with the big money all crushed into these feet” referring to the inequality that he is sawing on the society. Some of the Basquiat’s themes are social inequalities, economical inequalities, discrimination and heritage. By the other way Banksy’s work show similar themes to the one that use Basquiat.
Basquiat for me is a person who have a creative mind. But his way to express her feeling was contradictory. Because vandalize the private property is like profane a tomb. In other way ya can see that his art was a protest about some bad situations of humanity. For this reason a think Basquiat was famous.
Then Basquiat was a activist for people right and show how some sector of people can oppress disadvantage people.
I think that Basquiat was so popular because his paintings and graffittis were satirical, so the people identifies because many graffittis are critics to the governmet and our society. I think that the quote “The Whole Livery Line Bow Like This With The Big Money All Crushed Into These Feet" is a defense to the poor people because the government and many rich people not considered the poor people. The painting's message are justice, equality, social critic, etc.
Basquiat was fighting for the rights of everyone. He was vandalizing, but he just had a commitment for the minority people, to avoid humilliations, and that the money isn´t the source of success and being superior than other people. In addition, I think that is not right to broke property because there many ways to transmit messages and ideas in order to change the people mind and their vision of life.
Basquiat in the video shows us his way of thinking. I think that he was popular because he shows his way of thinking without thinking in consequences. Also in spite of doing vandalism, he doing his work without concern. An example in this video that shows all of this is “The whole livery line bow like this with the big money all
crushed into these feet". I think that Basquiat shows a message here for those people that believe more and powerful, which can be easily destroyed.
I am not according to basquiat because by but that one say that we can express us with graffiti does not give the right to paint alien things that is vandalizing and that is a crime. I think that basquiat was a very popular person since decia what thought without importing what said many people. Many of the things that basquiat escribia were positive for the company therefore I think that many people him seguia and by this he was well populary that him toward special in if I work.
I think basquiat was a very liberal person he painted what was on his mind what worried him the most about are social, cultural problems and he made it were everyone could see is work about the quote. “The Whole Livery Line Bow Like This With The Big Money All Crushed Into These Feet". I think it means that the hard working class never gets the money they are supposed to receive by there jobs always working and still in the same place. He should be an idle to all of us because he is not afraid to express himself.
Basquiat is a great artist. His work is very daring. He express his feelings abot social problems by doing paintings and living messages in walls and many other places. This messages are direct to make conscience abot the social problems. His popularity is because he express daring things that everybody sees, things that are truth and he express them with his unique style, in paintings and writings. I really didn`t understand the phrase he wrote, but is something with money. I thing he is directing to the big companies and employers that thing that have everything in their hands and he just crushed them with his feet. His work is very interesting.
I think that Basquiast was so popular because he was a person that expressed in his expositions his feelings about jutice, equality and peoples rights. For these reasons society was grateful with him and gave him thanks, making he so popular. I think that when Basquiat vandalized public property his purpose was to call attention for the authorities and for this way they saw the message of society and what they needed. Basquiat was a person with an original mind and peculiar style, his paintings and the purpose of his message will make people remember him in history. I think the quote of his painting means something more or less like a theme about inequalities, racism, and of wealthy people because meanwhile they get richer the poor people get more poor.
People that live in the margins of society can relate to Basquiat art. Vandalizing wealthy people’s property may be view as negative for people that just want more riches; people with almost nothing don’t mind and relate to his message. His message is one of unity among all minorities that struggle to bear power and take control of there future. In his graffiti "The Whole Livery Line Bow Like This With The Big Money All Crushed Into These Feet" express his ideal that money should not rule our lives and suggest that people with money use it, as a tool to assert their superiority.
I think that Basquiat became famose because it painted controversial themes. He break up with the traditional because he doesnt limits his work of art to a museum, insted he painted in places where people could see his work witout even having to get out of there vehicles.
Is apptars to be a very original way to reconize his work. I like his way of painting because i think that th art its a beutiful way of expression and what better way to do it freely as he did.
I like him because his took the liberty of expression to the limits.
To my understanding Basquiat expession pretends to tell that the power of money and ambision can buy anything
I think his suggest that anything or everypeople can be bought with money and that people surrender in any situation to abquiare personal benefict.
The themes of Basquiat and Banksy is similar ones on that themes are war, culture, militarism.
